Pallets for Warehousing & Distribution

The short answer

Warehouses and distribution centers move enormous pallet volume in both directions. Evergrain runs the whole loop — graded inbound supply, scheduled empty removal, and asset retrieval — so your docks stay clear, your specs stay consistent, and your pallet budget stops leaking.

Pallets for Warehousing & Distribution

The pain points

  • Empties piling up and blocking dock doors
  • Inconsistent pallet quality slowing automation
  • Unpredictable pallet spend
  • Wasted floor space from overstock
  • Damaged stringers and protruding nails causing jams and safety incidents
  • Off-spec or wrong-size units breaking rack-loading and slotting plans
  • Seasonal inbound surges that overwhelm dock and staging capacity
  • No clean diversion data to feed customer and corporate ESG reporting

How Evergrain helps

Standardized graded stock

Consistent Grade A/B pallets that run cleanly through conveyors and racking.

Scheduled removal

Recurring pickups keep aisles clear and inspection-ready.

JIT delivery

We hold inventory and feed your lines so you free up floor space.

Dock-level sortation

We can sort and grade at your dock so mixed inbound loads leave as clean, usable stock instead of clutter. That keeps your team focused on picking and shipping rather than triaging pallets.

Surge and peak coverage

We forecast around your known peak windows and stage extra removal capacity so empties never back up during high-volume weeks. Routes flex up and down with your inbound flow.

Consolidated multi-site reporting

Every pickup and delivery across your network rolls into one report with counts, grades, and pounds diverted. That gives operations one view and gives your sustainability team audit-ready numbers.

Buffer inventory management

We hold a managed buffer of your preferred spec off-site and release it on demand, so you carry less standing stock. You free up racking and floor without risking a stockout.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can you handle multiple facilities?

Yes — we coordinate multi-site programs with consolidated reporting and scheduling.

Do you support automated lines?

We supply consistent Grade A and block pallets suited to ASRS and conveyor systems.

Can you sort and grade pallets on site?

For higher-volume facilities we can grade at your dock or a nearby staging area. That turns a mixed inbound stream into ready-to-use stock and cuts the labor your team spends handling pallets.

How quickly can you respond to an unscheduled pickup?

Standing accounts on our routes are usually served within a day or two, and we prioritize facilities where empties are blocking dock doors. Email us the location and rough count and we will slot it into the nearest route.

Do you provide diversion and sustainability data?

Yes. We report units recovered and estimated pounds of wood diverted from landfill so you can feed customer scorecards and corporate ESG reporting. Numbers are pulled from actual pickup counts, not blanket estimates.

What condition do the empties need to be in?

We take mixed loads including broken and off-spec units — you do not need to pre-sort. Loads richer in whole, standard-size pallets carry more resale value and better pricing back to you.

Can you match a specific pallet spec across all our sites?

Yes. We lock in your preferred size, grade, and build and supply the same spec to every location so your automation and slotting behave identically network-wide.
